BAGUIO CITY, October 12, 2025 — Something new is stirring along Romulo Drive. On a cool Saturday, Wright Park Hotel opened its doors with a triple celebration: the hotel blessing, the grand opening of Made Here Artisans’ Studio, and the soft launch of Strawberry Bistro. All of it sits a short walk from the horse trail—very Baguio, very familiar, and now, freshly reimagined.
The hotel borrows its name from the park across the street, the same place many of us remember for pony rides, picnics, and slow afternoons. That memory is the hotel’s anchor: comfort, ease, and quiet elegance.
“We wanted to create a place that feels both timeless and personal. Every corner is a nod to Baguio’s warmth, its craft, and its spirit of welcome,” said Rodolfo Palma II, general manager of Wright Park Hotel.
While the address is shared with Chateau De Maisons, the hotel runs independently with its own brand of hospitality: personal, attentive, and rooted in the city’s character.
Inside the lobby is Made Here Artisans’ Studio, a bright space where local makers and curious visitors meet. It’s part store, part workshop, part community table. On the shelves: hand-stitched leather, silver pieces, wearables, small-batch food and beverages, and gifts that feel like they were made for someone you know.
Retail Manager Christian Eric Coronacion calls it “a place where creativity and community meet.” The first featured line, The Botanist, leans into nature—clean lines, organic textures, and a feel that mirrors the pine stands outside.
Food ties the story together at Strawberry Bistro, the hotel’s high-casual dining room. The kitchen serves New Filipino and international favorites with a Cordilleran twist, built on fresh, local produce.
Early standouts include Pot Roast Beef, Munggo Fiesta, Big Baguio Breakfast, and Cordillera Tokwa’t Baboy. The bistro seats 154 guests across the dining room and terrace and is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with all-day breakfast, take-away, and room service.
The launch, themed Tahanan ng Artisano, felt more like a community gathering than a formal program—blessings, ribbon cuttings, friendly chatter, and a quiet pride in what local hands can do.
Wright Park Hotel hopes to be more than a place to sleep. It wants to be a stop for good stories: crafts you can bring home, meals that taste like memory, and rooms that feel like rest after a long drive up the zigzags.
From the studio to the bistro to the guest rooms, the message is simple: Baguio’s welcome is alive and well and waiting for you on Romulo Drive.
